If you enter ‘Post Office Advance Registration’ in the Internet search box, a site called ‘Simple Advance Registration Internet Post Office’ will appear as shown in the screen below.

Then the following screen will appear as the first screen. Here, each person clicks on the mail he/she wants to send. I clicked ‘Registered Commerce’ because it is semi-registered mail.

Then the login screen appears. You can sign up as a member, but I decided to start with Kakao easily, so I signed up. Then, my information linked to Kakao is displayed, and you can sign up more conveniently.

After logging in, the following screen will appear. Please check the name, address, and contact information of the sender and recipient.
If you look at the postal information here, you can see that it is divided into various types even for special handling and registration. I will briefly explain the difference between the three types of semi-registration, general registration, and optional registration.
Semi-registration: From reception to delivery, it means that the delivery process is recorded and tracked by generating a registration number in the same way as general registration, but delivered to the mailbox. It takes about 3 to 4 days and only handles mail weighing less than 200g, and the fee is 1,800 won.
General registered mail: Direct delivery to the person receiving the mail is the principle. Like semi-registration, it is said that it is also possible to record and track the delivery process until the delivery is completed. It takes about 2 to 4 days, and the basic fee is 2,500 won, and the fee increases according to the weight. If you visit up to 2 times, if ‘undelivered’, it will be returned and stored at the post office for one week. (In the case of general registration, the post office is responsible for lost mail.)
Optional registration: Fees and all conditions are the same as general registration. However, if it is not delivered due to absence after the second visit, it will be delivered to the mailbox instead of returning it. In case of loss, the post office is not responsible!

After entering the recipient’s name, address, and contact information, click ‘Add to recipient list’.

Then, the following list will appear and register. Click the check point marked in red here, verify the address, and apply for acceptance.

Finally, if you have completed address verification, apply for registration. Then a pop-up window like the one below will appear.

Before visiting the post office, you need to attach a label. If you click Print Address Label after the pop-up window, the label below will be created. Then, if you print the label and attach it to my parcel, the work is over, go to the nearest post office to receive the mail, and pay by saying your mobile phone number.

How much is the post office simple pre-registration discount?
Before going to the post office, the post office gives a discount if I do label work in advance through the simple pre-registration. The amount varies depending on the number of parcels at the window reception. When there are 1 or 2 parcels, we give a 3% discount on the total price, but when there are many parcels, we give discounts of up to 15%. So, if you have a lot of numbers, please note that if you do the label work in advance, you can get a lot of discounts on mailings.
